How did the women of new mexico educate women outside of the southwest?

Women all over the country were sharing ideas about how to preserve food. Women in the east were good at canning food, but few had learned how to dry food. The ladies of New Mexico sent photos of crops drying on the roofs of houses. Among the pictures sent to President Hoover was a series of photos showing Indian pueblos at harvest time with rooftops spread with grain, houses hung with chili, the plaza spread with meat, squash, corn, beans, alfalfa, and corn shock, making a veritable picture of plenty.They also provided instructions for drying food.
