Why did african americans move from the south to the north during the time period known as the great migration?

I would think to have better job opportunities and less or less overt racism in the north

yes based on alexanders actions he deserved the title of "the great". his empire covered about 3,000 miles and he was able to establish the empire over a 13 year period of time. he was able to conquer many different places. he also defeated the persians. he conquered egypt and developed a city and named it after himself.

the church governed the society after the empire fell.   constantine took charge of rome and ended the confusion which had over religion and made christianity as the only religion and that started ruling the roman empire. he also divided the empire into two and fortified the eastern part.   he ruled the eastern part.
