The large-scale migration that occurred during the Middle Ages resulted into the following;

•Increased invasions throughout western Europe such as that of the Goths and Vandals with some of these invaders purposing for war and pillaging.

•The new population resulted into diverse changes that include new patterns of property ownership, new religion, laws and ways of living.

•There was a breakdown of trade routes and no exportation of goods because of security issues in the short trade routes.This resuted to localized forms of economy.

•There was a breakdown of military structures and educational strategy resulting to increased illiteracy.

•Trade volume reduced during 400AD and 600AD due to a declined population.This affected agriculture in terms of crop yields and plantations owners faced cases of fleeing of slaves.

•Invasion of smallpox into western Europe in 581 AD.
