In the years immediately prior to the seven years' war, what strategies did native american tribes pursue in their relationships with the european powers

Prior to the Seven Year's War (French Indian War) the Native American's largest tribe, the Mingoes, were allied with Great Britain. However, many Indians in the Upper Ohio Valley did not acknowledge british authority. Even though many of these Indians were fearful and hold grudges of the French because of previous wars, they believed that an alliance with the french was the lesser of two evils. Consequently, they started to supply French forces with men and intelligence against Great Britain.

In the years prior to the seven years' war, strategies that Native American tribes pursued in their associations with the European powers are  

  i.They were establishing an alliance with the European nations.

   ii.They hoarded for the increase in the fur trade.

Prior to the war situation was not the same. Indians of upper Ohio Valley were not even aware of the British authority with the natives American tribes like Mingoes were in alliance with Britain. American was continuously emphasizing establishing more and more alliances with the European nations to as to increase its influence in Europe and increase its fur trade.
