What were some groups that began to fight slavery in the mid-1700s?

The abolitionists.  Abolitionism defends the annulment of laws or customs that are considered to violate ethical and moral principles. It was used mainly for the purpose of abolishing slavery. Some of the main abolitionists were the religious Epifanio de Moiransn and Francisco Josó de Jaca. This movement has a total relationship with liberalism.
