The first revolution of 1989 was in Poland. There, The Solidarity movement, the anti-Communist trade unionists, negotiated with the Communist government of Poland in order to have free elections. After this moment, peaceful revolutions movements in Eastern Europe started. In November, the Berlin Wall fell, the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia ended the Communist government.
