Continental System

The Continental System was Napoleon's way of trying to cut Britain off economically, first by:
1) Setting up a Naval Blockade to block ships from entering and supplying Britain
2) Cutting off trade with Britian through the French Empire, and trading within the Empire.

Invaded Russia

Fearful that Russia would join Britain, Napoleon started the disastrous Russian campaign to force Russia back into the alliance. However, this led to the end of the Napoleon Empire, as Napoleon lost his Grand Army.
