What was expected of the colonists through the new Quartering Act passed in 1774 as part of the Coercive Acts (Intolerable Acts)? This new act demanded that colonists provide living quarters to British soldiers, even in private homes.

I believe the quartering act was where the colonists had to give what the British soldiers needed, and to give them housing and took care of them and their needs. Kind of like a senior care home kind of thing, but instead it was the citizens taking care of British soldiers. in 1774, the quartering act was a series of Intolerable Acts as a reprisal to the Boston Tea Party.
