King is on top of the pyramid.  Then lords, dukes are lower.  Then lesser noblemen, then peasants.  All owed allegiance to the higher level.  In return they received land, and paid in goods produce.  Also worked as soldiers in times of need.   This fiefdom was very important in holding Europe together in the dark ages.  

The native americans, spanish, french and americans all name places in our state. the word “arkansas” came from the quapaw indians, by way of early french explorers. at the time of the early french exploration, a tribe of indians, the quapaws, lived west of the mississippi and north of the arkansas river.
