Ida Bell Wells was an African-American journalist and feminist who led anti-lynching campaigns in the United States in the 1890 s. She covered the incidents of racial segregation and inequality. She also documented the lynchings. She was continuously threatened for her work and had to leave Memphis and move to Chicago. She worked toward ending the lynching by exposing the barbaric practice prevalent in the south.
