Mrs Jones is 72 and has dementia. She lives in a local authority care home. The care home is set in large grounds and Mrs Jones has always liked walking in the countryside. Initially her daughter, Susan, was pleased that her mother was in ‘a place of safety’. However, the daughter is concerned that her mother is never allowed out.
