Scarlet fever is an infection that can happen on people who have strep throat. This infection is usually recognized by a rash on the body, a high fever and a sore throat. Scarlet fever is particularly common with children between 5 and 15 years old. Although the disease used to be serious in the past, it now has a much better recovery rate.
