2. Researchers conducted an international study of school bullying in relation to family income. They surveyed 162,305 students aged 11, 13, and 15 at 5,998 schools in 35 countries. The
researchers found that within each school, students from lower-income families were bullied
more frequently than students from higher-income families. But, they did not find a higher
frequency of bullying in lower-income schools or countries. In fact, the most bullying took place in
schools and countries with the widest range of incomes or the the widest economic inequality.
