A IMPORTÂNCIA DA VÍRGULA
Entre os sinais de pontuação, certamente a vírgula é o que provoca mais dúvidas entre os
falantes da língua portuguesa. Uma vírgula mal colocada ou omitida pode causar sérios
prejuízos para o entendimento do texto, especialmente quando o assunto é a modalidade
escrita, já que na fala sabemos quando fazer as pausas necessárias para que o interlocutor
compreenda adequadamente a mensagem.
A vírgula é um sinal de pontuação que exerce três funções básicas:
• Marcar as pausas e as inflexões da voz na leitura;
• Enfatizar e/ou separar expressões e orações;
Impedir qualquerambiguidade.
