Skills such as teamwork and conflict resolution skills are very important in any profession. Assume that you are part of a team working in a childcare center. How would you contribute to the success of your team? If there is a conflict with a team member, how will you resolve it? Perform online research to learn about strategies, such as I-statements, that you can use to resolve conflicts.

I will contribute to the success of the team by being an active member of my team and participating in all meetings and brainstorming sessions. I will listen actively to all my team members and suggest ideas. I will seek help from co-workers when I am not clear about certain policies and procedures of my workplace.

I expect that at some time or the other there will be a difference of opinions between team members. I will create I-statements to resolve the conflict. An I-statement can prove effective when resolving conflicts. It consists of four parts:
