Shell egg producers pay for the USDA shell egg grading service. USDA guarantees that the produced eggs satisfy the quality and hygienic processing standards of a U. S. consumer grade which includes USDA Grade AA, USDA grade A, and USDA Grade B

Grade A stands for eggs of very high quality.
