In order to calculate the RMR, or resting metabolic rate, you need to know your weight, height, and your age. There is a difference in the equation for men and women too. For men: (10 × weight in kg) + (6.25 × height in cm) - (5 × age in years) + 5, and for  women: (10 × weight in kg) + (6.25 × height in cm) - (5 × age in years) - 161.

For the TDEE, or total daily energy expenditure, we also need the physical activity level. This does not only mean when you train but also what you do during the day.
