Create a list of all the attributes that define you. It's easy to make a short list describing obvious attributes, but try to dig deeper. Keep writing your list until it has at least 75–100 attributes. The first 50 attributes will easily come to you, but the last 30 or 40 will force you to think hard, and dig much deeper. This list should provide a pretty good indication of your current identity. It should be filled with the good, the bad, and the ugly. It should include things you like and dislike about yourself. Don't feel uncomfortable writing negative things—it's all part of discovering who you are. The important thing to remember is to be honest with yourself.

Once you're finished, write your initial impressions about the list. Write about how your identity is made up of tons of intertwined small characteristics. Next, write if you accept this list—the good and the bad. How does it feel to have everything in the open?

Lastly, start to think about how you want to craft your identity going forward. What can you do now to start working on those parts you don't like? How can you take the parts you DO like and accentuate them more throughout your identity?
