Why do most young people, refuse to see a therapist, even if it's needed? What can be a consequence?

sometimes we refuse it bc we think we dont need it or just dont wanna talk to someone they dont know about there problems. Like me im a teen and my parents took me to a therapist and i hated it. I didnt want to say anything at all about what I was going through.
