What body part will be affected by an improper application of compression wrap

Our tendon would most likely be affected
compression wrap is used to apply pressure on a specific point of our body to treat muscle strains 
using it improperly (lets say that we apply pressure in the wrong area), will only result in dislocating our tendon... hope this helps yah :)
