While at school, the twins are told a story (from their teacher) about a young woman trying to get medicine for her sick child, but can't due to the lack of funds; the young woman breaks into the pharmacy to steal the medicine, but is caught. After finishing up the story, the young woman asks the students their thoughts and calls upon Darla. Darla says that the young woman needs the medicine for her sick child, and that is more important than getting into trouble. The teacher would say that Darla has this kind of moral development for her age.
