People with avoidant personality disorder have difficulty relationships, while people with dependent personality disorder have difficulty relationships.

Avoidant Personality disorder-

When an individual is too conscious of his attitudes, and behaviours difficult to relate with people; reclusive in his  approaches, sceptical of engaging in interpersonal communication with people,  exhibits timidity, these are signs of Avoidant personality disorder. And it is occurs in adults.    

Dependent personality disorder-

An individual who  is  pessimistic, of no self belief,  who depends on another subject to make  practical  judgement or decision is said to be suffering from dependent personality disorder.They  feel more comfortable take responsibility under the 'umbrella' of another subject to avoid blame or ridicules  as a results of individual decisions.In order to secure trust of their dependents,  they always try to avoid disagreements  or creates any upsets and in case of losing one .they hastily  secure another.

Psychotherapy is the ideal method of correcting theses disorders.
