Mental abuse is when someone is hurting another person, but not physically. They will often use words to hurt the person or bring them down to a point where they break down. Hurting someone mentally usually lead to people not being confident, changing themselves, hurting themselves, etc. People usually think that emotional and mental abuse are the same, they aren't. Emotional abuse is when someone is hurting another person using and changing their emotions into bad ones. They lead to bad thoughts of themselves and often feel like they aren't worthy or good enough. Hurting someone emotionally is breaking their own emotions sometimes to a point where a person doesn't mentally feel anything. Or they are just numb to words. Breaking down a person emotions doesn't really take long, a little can go a long way. Just like saying one thing to a person and that is just kept into their mind.
