The Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve suggests that forgetting initially happens quickly but later slows down.

Explanation:

Hermann Ebbinghaus, formulated that forgetting is an exponential expression which states that forgetting or loss of information happens when one fails to attempt to retain or retrieve the information.  

The Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve depicts it to be exponential where the memory loss is higher immediately after a learning process; however, the rate of memory loss or the forgetting will be slower later on.

Ebbinghaus suggested that people will tend to forget what they learnt newly if they do not try to review what was learned.
