Mrs. salderini is a caucasian woman who is 62" tall and weighs 100 pounds. her vital signs are: blood pressure 102/74; temperature - 98 degrees f, heart rate - 90 bpm, respiratory rate - 22 per minute. she has documented elevated hga1c that range from 7.1 to 7.9 over the past two (2) years. mrs. salderini also had a pacemaker inserted five (5) years ago for arrhythmias and has had no occurrences of dysrythmia since that time. mrs. salderini's daughter states that she has noticed that her mom is getting increasingly forgetful about taking her daily metformin. mrs. salderini states that she fell because the throw rug in her hall way buckled and states, "i am really very steady on my feet." when asked about living alone mrs. salderinin states, "i will never leave my house; i was married for 55 years and lived there the entire time. that house is where we raised our children and it is the only home i know."my question is what would be a nursing diagnosis and what intervention would you take to her.
