your financial plan should involve the dreams, goals, resources, and responsibilities of the entire family. if you have a spouse, partner, or chi
provide guidance as your family develops a financial plan. the success of any financial plan is dependent on the support, persistence, and de
nvolved. the example shown here points out the objective and provides a few suggestions to family members design creative solutions
we can have most of the things that really matter to each of us and our family. however, we
can't have everything that cach of us may want. heck, no one can. even rich people can't. if we
come together to make wise decisions about our money, we will be able to do more of the things
we would really love to do and less of the stuff that none of us wants to do even though
these things still must get donc.
for instance, let's talk about yard work.
option #1: we could hire a company to care for our lawn and pay them for their service, but then
we don't have that money to do something we would rather do.

option #2: we could share the lawn work and use the money we save to do something fun, like go to the water park after we're done doing yard work. if all of us chip in we could get the lawn work done in a couple hours and spend the rest of the day at the water park. it wouldn't cost any more than option #1, but doesn't that sound like more fun?

option #3: i could do all the yard by myself. because i'll be busy with yard work, i won't be available to accompany you to the swimming pool. plus i'll be tired and dirty and not really up for doing much of anything the rest of the day. so, you'll just have to find something around the house to do. and i'd like to add that taking care of ''our" yard by myself all the time isn't really how i want to spend my time either.

we all have decisions to make. we only have so much money to work with and lots of things that we need and want to do. we can't have everything we need and want, so we have to make choices. let's talk about other family responsibilities and the choices we have.

analyze each option in the example above. write a 7-10 sentence paragraph response discussing the advantages and disadvantages of each option.
