It is true that the recycling process is very good for the environment, as it maximizes the use of a certain resource, instead of just using new ones. For the production of the paper, yes, lot of trees are needed, but not as it is stated, that for one ton of paper are needed 100 trees, but instead the number is more like 24 trees for one ton of paper. Now even though that is much lower number of trees, still we have to take into consideration the amount of paper that is used, and that is devastating for the forests around the globe. Actions have to be taken in the sense of planting young trees on the places where the older ones were taken down, in order to be able to preserve the forests, as well as making them a renewable resource, instead of a nonrenewable one.
