For weathering and erosion to occur what process will the rock usually go through first or at the same time

For weathering and erosion to occur the rock will get eroded in a stream, because it is moving, as the flowing water rushes, bits of rock will wear away.(The rock is physically getting broken apart, so this is Physical weathering.)

So the first part was erosion and the second was deposition.
