Ahow does a cartographer decide which type of map is needed

The cartographer looks for the use of the map. Depending on the task required, different layouts and projections could be necessary. Maps can be used for land ownership or boundary-setting, can be used for navigation and travel, can be used for topographical information, or used as a landmark guide. Each task will require a different map style.
