You want to control the water level h in a tank using a valve which controls the flow rate into the tank. The tank also has a drain that causes the water to leak out from the tank. The desired water level is encoded (as a voltage signal) by a potentiometer dial as Va. The 'water level h of the tank is measured by a float sensor. The float sensor produces a voltage related to the water level, the transfer function from the water level h to the float voltage V, is H(s). An amplifier, of constant gain kp = 20, reads in the difference between the float voltage signal V, and the desired water level as voltage V4 and provides a 'voltage' V to the valve actuator, i. e. V = kp (Va - V/). The valve actuator gets the voltage signal V and provides the 'input flow rate, in m/s' Qin to the tank. The transfer function from V to ĝin is K(s). Drain causes the water to leak at the rate Qout in m/s. The leak rate depends on the water level h. The transfer function from h to dout is G1(s). The difference between the 'input flow rate' din and the 'leak rate' qout is the 'net flow rate' Inet. The ‘water level h is just the integration of the 'net flow rate' Anet : h = anet dt, where A = 2 m? is area of the tank. Draw the block diagram of this control system. with the correct TFs in each block, and correct arrows and labels for each signal.
