The 3rd region corresponds to the tropical climate of the southwest coast of India, In Kerala, the coast of Karnataka, and Goa. This is a typical tropical climate: hot, wet, and humid all year round.

The 2nd region is a tropical savannah climate, characteristic of most of inner India, states like Madhya Pradesh, Maharastra, and Andhra Pradesh.

Finally, the 1st region corresponds to the arid climate of Northeast India, in the states of Rajashtan, and Gujarat.
