A higher population means more demand for resources like food, water, housing, and jobs. When the population was lower, there was less demand for necessary resources because fewer people existed. The graph shows the projected growth of the population over the next 30 years. If the population grows as expected, there will be more demand for resources because there will be more people that need them.
