Janine measured the sides of a rectangle and found that the sides were 12 inches and 24 inches. Howard measured the same rectangle and found that the sides were 1 foot and 2
feet. When their math teacher asked them for the area, Janine said 288, and Howard said 2.
Why did they get two different numbers for the area of the same rectangle?
