Export-oriented economies:

For: Export-oriented economies help the following country with trade, making the people and government more richer, and helping the economy. Export-oriented economies also help with getting other exports that the country that exports might not have

Against: Export-oriented economies can cause greed, and if the government isn't stable, which is the case for some countries in Africa like the DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo), or Sudan (North), then such country with say oil as it's export could get its money, but not give it to the people, and only higher-ups get such listed money and materials traded with other countries.

Trade barriers:

For: The most common Trade Barriers is taxation/tarrifs. With taxation such government exporting their goods can get more money and can fund things such as the government, and other public-places/transportation like buses, trains, librarys, or mail-offices.

Against: With this kind of taxation, many goods could maybe not end up in the country, as a lot of taxation can cause such goods not to be in the country, which could be some kinds of food. This can cause hunger, etc. And this can also make the economy go bankrupt, as with no trade, there is no money going in; there is essentially nothing.

Political Problems:

For: Political problems could have a brand new government in office, if the past government was not good. This could help the economy, bring freedoms to the peoples, end greed in the government, etc.

Against: Political problems can cause outrage and war, breaking and crumbling such country apart. This can cause deaths of thousands to millions, and can bring a bad government that worsens the freedoms of such peoples.
