Conduct an Experiment: Measure the angle of a shadow at high noon in Syene and Alexandria.
Draw Conclusions: The angle represents the amount Earth curves between Syene and Alexandria. This is 1/50 of a complete circle and 1/50 of Earth's circumference.
Make Observations: In Syene, the sun's Ray's are vertical at noon. At the same time in Alexandria, the Ray's are 7.2 degrees from the vertical.
