Titicaca Lake is found in South America and also a lake along the borders of Peru and Bolivia and it is normally referred to as the highest navigable lake in the world and it gained the “nickname” due to commercial craft.  

The highest surface elevation is approximately 3,812 m. The lake is fed by 5 rivers and more than 20 small streams furthermore, it has 41 densely populated islands. In recent years, the lake has experienced a drop in water levels of about 81 cm which is caused by melting glaciers.
