There’s a lot of water around: rivers, waterways, beaches, waterfalls, marshes and swamps Georgia Coastal Plain has the largest swamp in North America: the Okefenokee Swamp, with 700 square miles The swamps is the home to alligators The most common animals living in this region are: deer, armadillos, rattlesnakes, woodpeckers, cranes, wild boar, squirrels and snapping turtles  There are plenty of cypress trees and orchards
