Italy faces a problem of the slow increasing population while the rate of ageing people who depend on pension increases steadily. In 2017, the lowest birth rate in Italy's history. The problems are due to low infertility, a bad economy which threatens job security, high cost of living, and etc.  

With the low birth rate, the cost for education will be reduced while pension fund will be at its highest requiring contribution from the working class. This is bridged by increased immigration making up 8.3% of the Italian population. Social security fees help to contribute towards the pension fund.
