A microscope is capable of enormously magnifying the specimen kept under its objective lens. Thus, looking at an item through a microscope can allow us to understand better the basic structure of that item.

A number of scientific properties of a specific item can be derived from the way it is structured. These structures can be cellular, molecular, atomic, etc. Thus, a microscope helps us acquire crucial knowledge about the items looked at through it. A microscope serves the purpose of providing a magnified view into various specimens. This magnification of the specimen can be done as deep as to the level of its atomic structure (depending upon the power of microscope). Thus, the microscopes play an important role in the study of various items (e.g. different elements and compounds).

When a lake, river or other aquatic  system  becomes  eutrophic, it can have serious negative effects on other organisms like fish, birds and even people.if an algal bloom is so bad that it causes wide-spread death  in  the  water, the organisms that die will all sink to the bottom and start to decompose.
