Interpersonal communication refers to the process by which people normally exchange information through verbal and non verbal messages. This type of communication can take place between two friends for instance. Impersonal communication refers to a type of interaction which is based specifically on social roles. An example of this is communication with one's customers.

It´s an exchange of information between two or more people. Its area of study and research that seeks to understand the verbal and nonverbal marks to accomplish a number of personal and relational goals.

Interpersonal communication takes place between people interdependent who have some knowledge about each other.

Examples

A father and his son talking; a conversation between a teacher and a student; a sign conversation between two friends in a meeting at work where they can´t talk.

Impersonal communication

They are common in the business market, where personal relationships and emotions are not required to complete the interaction. It also refers to less direct methods of communication like emails and social networks. This type of interaction allows people to make statements they may not make if the other one is in person.

Examples

The interaction between a salesman and a customer; Someone receives an email with publicity; ordering food at a restaurant.
