How does the author use comparison to describe the rainbow?

The author compares the rainbow’s clouds to those on boats and ships. The author says that the clouds on a rainbow are much prettier than those on a boat or ship. The bridges on trees aren’t as pretty as the rainbow’s bridge that “builds a road from earth to sky”. Good luck :)
