New Stone Age is NEOLITHIC ERA

"Neo" is a root used in the English language, it is derived from the Greek word "neos", which means new or recent. Thus Neolithic Era is also called New Stone Age.

The Stone Age is called as such because the people used stones are their tools, However, the Stone Age is divided into two. The Old Stone Age and the New Stone Age. 

The New Stone Age was separated from the Old Stone Age because it was the time when the Earth's climate was warmer compared to the climate of the Old Stone Age.

The New Stone Age was the age when great ice started to thaw, land for planting and animals for hunting increased in numbers and the nomadic lifestyle of the people in that Age changed and they settled in one place, where they could plant and hunt their food and grow their families.
