The main cause of Frederick Douglass after returning from England to United States of America is to fight for the women’s right and make America a slave-free country.

Frederick Douglass was an American social reformer, born in Maryland. He fought bravely for the freedom of blacks Americans from the white Americans. He was born slave and escaped from the slavery to abolish the inhumane acts performed on black American.

Returning to United states:

After returning to America with the help of his English supporter. He published his own abolitionist newsletter. He also started to write about the equal right for the women in all the places. He was the only man to attend Seneca Fall Convention held on 1848, a women’ right activists gathering. Douglass and his wife also supported four hundred escaped salves by providing them food and shelter.

After Civil War, Douglass became first African-American Vice President of United States of America in 1872.

All the events of his life are penned by himself in his auto-biography.
