Why does more than one story arc make a novel interesting? it allows a reader to see a fuller picture about a story. story arcs readers identify with characters more easily. it doesn't, because more than one story arc can make a story confusing. one story arc that follows another story arc can repeat until the novel is finished.

All four can be true actually, but because i do not really agree with either of them,i'll give you a brief explanation of personal opinion.so thing is, story arcs often lead a reader through a (hopefully) interesting process/journey which makes them understand the story in a not so boring way, where you have an introduction, a system, adventure, climax, and a resolution. multiple story arcs however, can be used in endless ways, which can result in both good and bad. so for example, if a story arc is followed by another story arc and then followed by another story arc again ( this might have been used to make reader feel waves of events and different emotions throughout the whole story, that is if used in the right way. however, if there are multiple story arcs at the same time, especially with a time line that keeps jumping back and forth, it might just confuse the reader more as it is unnecessary in certain ways. sometimes the author does not need specific story arcs applied in the same way throughout the whole book but instead, use little arcs like phrases in a musical piece that maybe pulls out unexpected events and such to keep the book going at a pace where the reader won't just it down the book, and amongst the little events, there is actually something bigger going on, which is your main story. so maybe try to shrink or enlarge arcs and fit them accordingly would be the best advice i can provide right now.

Yes, just because one had a disability doesn't change the meaning of the word. they would most likely have an (whatever language) sign language to sign what's going on. it would be the same even if he was blind.
