Provide evidence from "the necklace" that foreshadows the ending of the story.

In "The Necklace" by Guy de Maupassant, there are a lot of foreshadowing. One of the first foreshadowing is how poor of a living condition she was in. It said that "she had no dresses, no jewels, nothing; and these were the only things she loved." This meant that she wanted a rich lifestyle, and wished she could have a different ending than the one fate gave her. In fact, she was so poor, that she was afraid to visit certain friends, because of how rich of a life style they had. Then one day, her husband came home with an invitation for her to go to a ball, and he thought she was going to be happy. However, she broke down and wept because she had nothing good to wear. Her husband gave her the money he was saving for a hunting rifle to get a dress for her. Soon however, she had another problem, and that was because she had no jewelry. That was when her husband told her she should go borrow some jewelry from Madam Forestier, her friend. She goes and borrows it, and goes to the party, and has fun. However, when she returns, she lost the jewelry, and desperatly tries to find it. However, they could not find the exact one, but they found a jewelry that was identical to it. It costed 36 thousand francs, and they had eighteen thousand francs that were left to them by the husbands father. They borrowed the rest of the money, bought the necklace, and returned it to her friend. The rest of the story was about them trying to repay the money. After a long time, she meets her friend again. When that happened, she told her friend that they bought a identical version of her necklace. Then her friend was shocked, and told her that necklace was made out of paste, and was not real, "it was worth only 500 francs at the most".
