Sorry to say I won't be much of help on this subject, but my advice if you are able to use your electronic device look up the history of basketball and it should give you some information on the subject and for the noticeable changes look up "noticeable changes in basketball" that should give you a wide option of things to write about. this will only take about an half hour to an hour or even  shorter depending on hard you work at it. Most teachers won't count how many words you have, they will most likely estimate how many and go from there.
