Mr Bixby advising the narrator might be and example of Climax (option D). this might be considered the highest point in the narration because it is when the narrator had a panic attack while seeing shoal water ahead. Here, it is when Mr Bixby advises him on being self- confidence. 

Not sure if there was any sort of picture or something to go along with this but my guess is the book went into deep depth and was very informative.
