They have a great time listening to the music and Willa deliberately ignores texts from her dad. When she gets home, her dad is really upset with her. He didn’t know where she was. He has a rule that he needs to know where she is and that she has to ask permission before she goes anywhere. Willa thinks that since she’s in eighth grade, she shouldn’t have to do this anymore. Her dad should trust her more. Willa tells her dad that she’s not a little kid anymore and storms off to her room and slams the door. Willa’s Perspective 1. How might Willa be feeling? 2. What might she be thinking? What might she be needing or wanting? How could understanding each other’s perspective help with the conflict?
