The author takes the position that walking is a positive thing. The author uses words with a positive connotation to describe walking. Words such as "easy" and "effective" show that the author thinks highly of taking walks. In addition to this, the author states it plain and simple: "Walking is an easy, effective way to exersise." At the end of the paragraph the author even gives a call to action saying that we should "give walking a try!" Using logical thinking, we can infer that the author likes walking because they are encouraging us to do it.
