Going into the last lap of the race, Rachel was in second place. However, she was known for
having a burst of speed at the end of races. As the runners rounded the final curve, they began to
sprint. Rachel was gaining ground, and the crowd began to roar. When they reached the finish line it
was hard to tell who had won. The time keeper announced the winner. Rachel had won by only one
tenth of a second!
